Sunday's question #7

Which one makes the better pet, a Cat or a Dog and why?

I've had both and they are both equally a pain. Between walking a dog and cleaning a litter box ... and then there's the vet bills!
I say phooey to cats and dogs in my home! I don't however mind them in anyone else's home.
I have a pet fish.
His name is Luke6 ... please don't ask about Luke1,2,3,4 or 5.

dog. definitely a dog. yes, they are work but not nearly as much as a cat. and you can see and feel their love for you. not so with a cat.

Oh Diana, I can't believe you said that about cats! Cat's can be just as loving as dogs. They let you know by sitting on your face in the morning while you are asleep.

I would say cats, because you don't have to walk them, they can let themselves in and out of the house (if you've got a cat flap of course)and if you've got a cat flap, you don't need a litter tray. Plus you can leave them for days, because they go slutting around the neighbours for food. (I seem to have 4 neighbour cats hanging around, but I think they are trying to get the pet hamsters!)

Totally depends on your needs. Some people love to be loved and made a fuss about (dog people), some people want something to pet while they feel like it but not at any other time (cat people), and some people just want company (both).

I don't have any pets. I love both dogs and cats, but I really cannot be arsed either to walk one or clean a tray for the other.

Well obviously it is the dog - why?? Because cats actually see their owners as the pet. {grin}
